Pictures From Our Cabin Camp Out

Mom and RuthAnn chatting
The cabin was really supposed to be a suprise for Kimberly for her birthday, but she would have figured it out (she was being very nosy-ask her Mom:) so it was not a suprise thing.
This is Jen's work of art. :) She hit the dilly bean fork with her hand and it went flying right into the cake. Pretty artistic don't you think?? :):)

Having a fit over Pride and Prejudice. This was Amy's idea...not mine! :/ We ALL decided...(may I say it????) that it is a very d-u-m-b movie. Ahhhhh!!!! Not our style at all! (sorry all Jane Austen fans!)

This is much more to our liking! Little Rascals! See cute teeth-missing Alfalfa? I think he was reciting something!

Blah,blah

Tooooooo much chocolate!! Ugh! May I advise you to NEVER gorge yourself on it???
Talk about feeling like a bunch of bloated hogs!

Peanut M & M's were the big hit! We miss you Roshena!

Boggle and chocolate scattered everywhere :/ :/

Good 'ole Kimmy and her M & M

Only Kayla and Jen decided to use the jacuzzi; they make great beds though, right??!

Kimberly, searching for some supposedly hidden money..... hehe

Uno and more junk food

Violinning, as Amy said :) 1 or 2 in the morning actually! We were just warming up with Carol of the Bells

"Hey down there!"

Zzzzzzz
We got the cabin free if we cleaned up afterward!!!!

2008 Christmas Concerts

~Well....one of our favorite times of the year is now past. The annual Christmas program!!! It was so FUN! Everyone had a great time! Our teacher, Sarah, is incredible!!!! Her patience and effort that go into this every year is amazing! Especially now with almost 30 girls in it, she really had her hands full trying to keep us all together, directing 3 different parts, plus solos and playing things over and over again to get them in tune!

All ready to go with our music and violins

Sarah.....tuning(and tuning and tuning and tuning!)
Our first concert at Orvilla on Friday

And.....Sarah's twin sisters, Kristen and Kaitlyn,(also known fondly as Kritty and Bert:), tuning the cellos! Bert is the celloist and she is on the right!

Headed into the Oaks for our second concert. Kayla and Kritty headed in with their violin and viola while Bert follows behind with her cello, affectionately named Minna. :)

Sarah's sister Joanna tuning a long line of eager girls!

After the Oaks we went back to Sarah's house, ate a light supper and partied until our evening concert. Sydnee and Gillian worked very hard to make these pretty cookies!

Sarah, passing out her annual christmas chocolate. Yummy! Last year it was tootsie rolls but she upgraded to nice big bars of different kinds of chocolate!

Party time! This was really fun! Everyone was just sprawled out here and there, eating and playing games.

Kristen, Kay and me

Nice cow-lips Kritty!

Bert(oh yes! Kaitlyn!) and Twila, trying to tune cellos for the evening concert. They were just a little uncooperable!(the cellos-not the girls!:)

We played at Chestnut Ridge Mennonite Church. It was really nice!

Kayla, plucking away on We Wish You a Merry Christmas!

All the songs we played

Victoria did a incredible job telling this story-totally memorized!-with gestures and everything! It was really, really good!

Goofy

Weird picture here with Kritty & Jennifer

P. Graham Dunn
We played here Saturday afternoon. It is so HUGE!

"You tuned?"

Bert and the cello that wouldn't stay in tune....

Waiting to play..........we waited for quite a bit! :/

Very cute, right? :) I guess Minna's shell needed some clothes!

D major scale....just to make sure we were all in tune

Joanna giving last minute instructions to the 1st violinists
"Look at Sarah! Watch her for all your worth!"
"Everybody ready?"

Amy playing and Sarah directing!

"Yay guys! You did it!"

I guess we didn't sound too terrible....:) someone was clapping!

Some of us
The Herd :):)

Cheers!
